How We Got Here
So here’s our story…
We love dogs, we own dogs, and we believe in making the dog community a better place. We decided to start MetroPaws® due to our frustrations finding dog service providers in New York City wherever and whenever we needed them. So the idea that there can be an online resource where dog owners can find service providers, schedule an appointment, and even PAY for it, all in one place, became our “mutt mission”…if you will.
The name “Metro Paws” only fits considering many dog services are needed in metropolitan cities. Our baby, MetroPaws®, a.k.a. MP, was born, and is very near and dear to our hearts. Our inspiration is undoubtedly our strong, intelligent and sensitive, 7 year old English Labrador Stone, AND our hilarious, sweet new addition, Mitzvah, a Bulldog/Labrador mix, who just celebrated her 1st birthday.
We hope you will find your experience with MetroPaws everything you need to make your life easier, more seamless, and affordable while keeping your pup(s) in the best “paws” possible.

MetroPaws® is a family-run web business. We are dog owners who love dogs as much as you do, and we’re dedicated to keeping your dogs happy and healthy.
We Are Green
We promise to be environmentally friendly whenever possible. Currently we buy carbon offsets from Terra Pass, one of the most respected Carbon footprint reduction organizations in the country, to allow for our servers and our shipping to and from our locations to be carbon neutral. We carry & sell only degradable products, hey even our business cards and marketing materials are composed of recycled material and environmentally friendly soy or vegetable based inks.
We Are Social
Like well-mannered dogs, we believe it is important to listen and talk to your neighbors. We work hard to support and talk with small businesses, dog organizations, and rescue groups.
